In this role you will drive early-stage design and planning for Amazon’s HV infrastructure in data center projects. You’ll act as a bridge among Real Estate, Design Engineering, and Construction to shape standards, assess constructability, and guide cost/schedule decisions. You’ll manage complex cross-functional HV/water projects from site selection to hand-over, ensuring high standards and timely progress. This is a pivotal role for delivering scalable, safe data center infrastructure at scale.

Responsibilities

• Review and input on global standards and HV/water infrastructure designs
• Independently support and manage complex HV/water infrastructure projects from site selection through contract execution
• Drive progress and timely decisions while identifying blockers and escalating as needed
• Collaborate with internal/external teams (Real Estate, Legal, Design Engineering, Construction, Finance, architects, engineers, permitting agencies, developers, landlords) to secure resources, set priorities, and drive results
• Conduct negotiations with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals for scope and cost implications
• Evaluate site due diligences, schedule tracking, and factors affecting successful project hand-over to Amazon stakeholders
• Uphold high standards and accountability, including coaching or disciplinary actions as required
• Support development and implementation of design standards across regional programs

Qualifications

• 7+ years in Construction Site Management for large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects
• 7+ years end-to-end experience in mission-critical facilities (design, pre-construction, scheduling, construction, commissioning)
• Knowledge of civil, electric and mechanical engineering principles
• Fluent English and Italian
• Ability to travel ~40% of time
• Experience negotiating with general contractors and evaluating bids/proposals
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Project Management, Architecture, Engineering or related field
