Sr. Robotics System Integration & Deployment Engineer

Amazon is seeking an experienced technical leader to own the onsite strategy and execution of complex, first‑time automation deployments, building scalable mechanisms that enable global rollouts across our fulfillment network. Key Job Responsibilities

Define and own the end‑to‑end deployment strategy and execution for complex, first‑time automation technologies where deployment processes do not yet exist. Lead cross‑functional alignment across multiple teams, vendors, site operations, and regional stakeholders, advising senior managers and directors on technical trade‑offs and deployment decisions. Build scalable deployment mechanisms, frameworks, and tooling that convert first‑time deployment complexity into repeatable, organisation‑wide standards. Resolve complex deployment problems across multiple technical domains, identifying design‑related issues and providing actionable feedback to engineering teams. Mentor and develop junior deployment engineers, perform technical assessments, and drive engineering best practices across the deployment organisation. Evaluate and deliver large‑scale automation technologies including conveyance, sortation, and robotics systems across multiple countries and building types. Automate and optimise deployment processes—moving beyond SOPs to eliminate waste, decouple dependencies, and create predictable deployment paths. A Day in the Life

You’ll define the deployment strategy for new automation technologies, balancing short‑term delivery needs with long‑term scalability. During deployment execution, you’ll be on‑site leading first‑time implementations through go‑live while coaching your team and capturing learnings into scalable mechanisms. You’ll interact daily with diverse functional teams across multiple time zones, present to directors and VPs, conduct regular meetings with internal teams, stakeholders, and vendors, build relationships with subject‑matter experts, shape technical strategies, and influence deployment standards across regions. No two days will be the same in this fast‑paced environment, offering continuous opportunities for professional growth. About the Team

Robotics Delivery & Packaging Innovation is a diverse, multi‑talented team with a proven track record of overcoming challenging technical problems to deliver Amazon’s leading‑edge robotics technologies in fulfilment, transportation, and delivery networks worldwide. Our high‑performing team blends engineering know‑how, problem‑solving, curiosity, innovation, leadership, and effective communication to deliver positive results for our customers. Basic Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Information Science, Information Technology, Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field. Experience leading complex automation deployment projects end‑to‑end, including defining deployment strategies for new technologies where none previously existed. Subject‑matter expertise in more than one technical domain (e.g., robotics + deployment process design, automation hardware + infrastructure integration, or conveyance + sortation systems). Demonstrated ability to influence across multiple teams and advise senior leadership on deployment strategy and technical trade‑offs. Track record building scalable mechanisms, frameworks, or tooling adopted across an organisation. Experience mentoring and developing engineers. Strong written communication skills, including authoring technical narratives and strategic documents. Willingness to travel up to 50% during EU deployment seasons. Experience resolving complex technical systems problems on‑site in undefined environments. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with robotic deployments in warehouse or fulfilment environments across multiple countries. Background managing vendor relationships and external contractors at programme level. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies. Project management certification (PMP, Scrum, Agile). Experience with Amazon Robotics or similar warehouse automation platforms. Master’s degree in engineering or related STEM field. Experience training and developing field deployment teams at scale. Multi‑country deployment experience with demonstrated ability to adapt processes across regulatory and operational environments. Familiarity with infrastructure deployment automation systems.
