Do you like helping U.S. Department of War organizations implement innovative cloud computing solutions and solve technical problems? This role involves helping stakeholders understand application architectures and integration approaches, and leading projects on a trajectory to success with AWS cloud technologies.
In this role, you will shape and deliver on a strategy to build broad use of AWS utility computing services (e.g., Amazon DynamoDB, Amazon S3, Amazon EC2, and Amazon CloudFront) with customers and our ecosystem of system integrators and solution providers. Your responsibilities include owning the technical engagement and project success, defining implementation architectures, contributing to RFI/RFP responses, developing deep expertise in AWS technologies, and serving as a subject matter expert on security related to customer applications and services.
You will provide thoughtful technical design and respond to customer needs for cloud computing while collaborating with a sales and business development team. You will help capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS solution architect community and learn from and collaborate with other senior engineers across enterprise architecture.

Experience in the following areas is helpful:
- Executive speaking and presentation skills – white board, small and large group presentations
- Technical – web applications, development/deployment, DevOps/DevSecOps, cloud computing, data and database architectures and analytics, or networking
- Operational – web site/services operations, management, and security
- Economic and business – RFP/ Acquisition support; technical architecture; market trends; cost-benefit analysis
- Advisory/Consulting experience with War Department customers
This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen.
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in specific technology domain areas (e.g., software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
- 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
- 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries
- Associate's degree or above, or CASP+ or CCSP or Cloud+ or CSSLP
Preferred Qualifications
- 5+ years of infrastructure architecture, database architecture and networking experience
- Experience working with end user or developer communities

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package may include sign-on payments and RSUs. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
