The Group:
The Data Center and Energy Group develops next-generation power conversion ICs for a broad range of Data Center and power conversion markets.
As our real-world analog signal processing capabilities in power products advance, there is an increasing demand for high-power integrated solutions with telemetry and user programmability. To achieve this goal, our team of analog and digital designers works on ground-breaking products by combining cutting-edge process technologies with advanced power IC design techniques.
The Data Center and Energy team is seeking a skilled and experienced Analog Design Engineer to join our development team.
The Position: Staff Analog Design Engineer
The group is seeking an experienced Staff Analog IC Design Engineer to work on the development of new power integrated solutions for Data Center market, engaging directly with our Tier 1 OEMs, along with supervisor/mentor leadership opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Working within an analog/mixed-signal design team based in our Catania (Italy) and Milan (Italy) sites.
- Contributing to the detailed definition and architecture development of high-performance mixed-signal and power devices.
- IC block design, transistor-level circuit design, and simulation.
- Conducting technical presentations to ADI’s internal engineering team and customers.
- Using recommended design and verification techniques, tools & flows to produce efficient designs which meet all specified functional, power and timing objectives.
- Successful integration of blocks into larger mixed-signal systems.
- Supporting other job functions such as layout, lab evaluation and test to ensure successful delivery meeting all requirements.
- Continuing to improve analog design methodologies consistent with the group’s wider business objectives to reduce time and cost to market.
Requirements
- Electronic Engineering degree with 8+ years’ experience as an analog/mixed signal IC designer.
- Excellent knowledge of analog and mixed signal electronics, tools, and flows.
- Experience with designing circuits, including amplifiers, DACs, ADCs, bandgaps, bias circuits, LDOs, switching power supply circuits, Pmbus, I/O, OTP, MTP
- Design experience with high current/high power circuits is an advantage
- Strong people leadership, inter-personal, teamwork, and communication skills are required.
- The successful candidate will be expected to take a whole cell or system ownership role and contribute to the development of new products from architecture selection to implementation and debugging.
- Experience of integrating analog blocks (converters, power management, etc.) would be an advantage.
- Some limited travel should be expected.
