Position Summary
You will support the International Sales Team of the Confectionery Business operating the Perugina® and Baci Perugina® brands. In this role you will help define, plan, execute and monitor commercial plans in the assigned area, support the Area Manager in developing the business, making country analyses, executing go‑to‑market strategies and establishing successful partnerships with key business partners.
A Day in the Life – Assistant International Area Manager Confectionery
- Coordinate exchange of information and sales materials with distribution partners and customers (samples, product certifications, images, catalogues, etc.)
- Support the International Sales Area Manager in coordinating local commercial plans, monitoring execution and budget.
- Assist with forecast & orders activity, perform performance data analysis and provide actionable insights to enhance sales productivity and revenue generation.
- Develop and execute a brand support package for distribution partners (digital assets, POS materials, etc.).
- Conduct comprehensive country analysis – market research, industry trends, competitor insights, consumer behaviour – to identify new growth opportunities.
- Develop and implement go‑to‑market strategies tailored to each country, considering local market trends and consumer preferences.
- Prepare professional presentations for business partners, stakeholders, and internal teams, communicating key strategies and progress updates.
- Engage with cross‑functional teams (Marketing, Customer Development, Supply Chain) to ensure coordinated market penetration and growth.
What Makes You Successful?
- Undergraduates or graduates in Economics, Statistics, Engineering, Business Administration or related fields
- Highly organized, problem‑solving, analytical and quantitative mindset
- Curiosity and strong interest in the FMCG industry, especially confectionery
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, proficiency in English and Italian
- Strong analytical mindset and data‑driven decision making
- Proactive, self‑motivated, able to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural environment and build effective relationships with stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
