Stock Controller - 6 months contract

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stock Controller to manage and maintain inventory accuracy across our supply chain or retail operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking stock movements, ensuring inventory levels are optimized, and supporting the efficient flow of goods to meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability.
• Receive, inspect, and record incoming stock and materials.
• Conduct regular and ad hoc stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
• Update inventory management systems accurately and in a timely manner.
• Liaise with procurement, warehouse, and retail teams to forecast demand and coordinate restocking.
• Identify and report slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
• Ensure proper stock rotation to minimize spoilage or expiration (if applicable).
• Support loss prevention initiatives by maintaining accurate stock records and investigating variances.
• Prepare and present inventory reports for management review.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized stockroom or warehouse environment.
• Comply with company policies and safety standards at all times.
