Xmas Tree Project Lead Engineer
As the Subsea Trees Project Lead Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out the activities listed below on subsea Xmas trees components and systems, meeting company and external engineering competence standards as defined within specific work instructions for delivery on customer global projects. Candidates will perform a range of typical design and development related duties.
- Defining scopes of engineering work and establishing engineering plans for deliverables which include parts, drawings, reports and procedures for extended delivery on projects.
- Creating layouts, specifying functional components, evaluating stack-ups, creating assembly procedures, supporting manufacturing, and undertaking basic calculations.
- Interpreting customer engineering specifications to produce layout, detail and assembly designs and specifications.
- Developing general design specifications for interpretation by other engineers and designers.
- Creating detail, fabrication and assembly level drawings to ASME Y14.5 standards and format.
- Creating Bill of Materials (BOM) in documentation system, for approval by Engineers.
- Identifying improvements in existing products, procedures and processes and developing cost‑effective solutions to satisfy specifications.
- Interpreting basic pressure vessel and structural engineering calculations for design layout purposes.
- Understanding and applying design for manufacture principles for turning, machining, drilling, milling, and welding processes to ensure designs are suitable and allow for efficient manufacture and assembly.
Qualifications
- MSc / BSc Degree in Mechanical / Electrical, Fluid Mechanics, Chemistry, Automation / Controls Engineering or equivalent with extensive design experience.
- Fully familiar with Risk Assessment and Reliability Verification Procedures.
- Highly knowledgeable of current relevant industry standards and codes for area of work.
- Six Sigma.
- Fully fluent in English language.
