Hours and location will vary based on district needs.

Purpose

To provide assessment, screening, planning, intervention, evaluation, counseling, management and/or referrals concerning the health and medical care needs of students for the purpose of minimizing absences due to illness, maximizing educational opportunities and creating a healthy school climate. This includes but is not limited to:

• Provide first aid care for injuries and illnesses.
• Dispense and document school time medications/treatments/procedures.
• Ongoing communication about particular student health care needs.
• Document clinic visits/care per protocol.
• Assist with office functions as necessary.

Qualifications

Current RN license in the state of Indiana. School Nurse and/or public health experience preferred.
