Responsibilities

• Supplier Program : Obtain, review and approve Supplier program for the assigned equipment.
• Quality control & inspections : Manage inspections at suppliers’ sites autonomously in accordance with the ITP (inspection testing plan), the QCP (quality control plan) and supplier program.
• Progress Monitoring and Planning : Monitor the progress of assigned suppliers from PO to Delivery and plan and assign expediting inspectors (external resource) as required.
• Supplier Communication and Problem Escalation : Establish solid relationships with supplier contacts to ensure On-Time Delivery (OTD) and achievement of key intermediary milestones.
• Tools and Process : Ensure the accuracy and level of detail of expediting information.

Qualifications

• Technical High School or Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• 8+ years’ experience in plant construction or in one of the sub-areas such as boiler, steel, apparatus, pipeline construction.
• NDT qualification at least VT level 2 and welding qualification IWE/EWE certification.
• Able to read and interpret supplier manufacturing fabrication plans and familiar with main international codes such as EN-ISO/ASME-IX/PED.
• Extensive knowledge to expedite supplier premises based on real fabrication status compared with supplier manufacturing fabrication plan.
• Multilingual with professional English and Italian.
