Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Supply Chain Planner and Logistics role based in Valperga. The position is responsible for planning and coordinating demand and production to ensure material availability, optimal inventory levels, and timely delivery of aerospace components and drive S&OP (Sales and Operations Planning) in alignment with Commercial, Finance and Procurement. Day-to-day activities include creating and maintaining demand and production plans, monitoring order status, and aligning schedules with operations, procurement, and sales teams. The role also manages logistics activities, including shipment coordination, documentation, and follow-up with carriers and logistics partners. The Supply Chain Planner and Logistics professional will analyze performance data, identify risks or bottlenecks, and propose process improvements to support quality, delivery, and cost objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong demand and production planning skills, including Demand Planning and Production Planning, with experience in balancing capacity, lead times, and inventory.
- Proficient Analytical Skills to interpret supply chain data, track KPIs, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Background in Operations Management, preferably within manufacturing or aerospace, with an understanding of end-to-end supply chain processes.
- Effective Communication skills to collaborate with Customers, cross-functional teams, suppliers, and logistics partners and to provide clear, structured updates.
- Experience in logistics coordination (domestic and international), including shipment scheduling, documentation, and basic customs requirements.
- Strong knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and good MS Excel skills for planning, reporting, and data analysis.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Past experience in Aerospace sector is considered a plus.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, quality-focused environment.
- Mother language/ bilingual Italian and English professional level mandatory to interacting with international stakeholders.
