Surety Associate Financial Underwriter

Job Description Reporting to the Surety Financial Underwriting Manager Italy, you will be responsible for actively monitoring and managing a portfolio of companies for which Atradius has existing Bonding exposure. In addition, you will serve as the decision maker for new requests for bond lines from both existing and prospective clients. The role includes applying underwriting principles and guidelines where the company is considering underwriting new risk or modifying existing guarantees, and using financial analysis techniques to assess risk exposure of potential new cover and to evaluate existing risks. Key Attributes

Applying underwriting principles and guidelines in line with bonding governance Demonstrating a clear understanding of the three primary financial statements (Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow Statement) and a company’s business model Demonstrating effective written and verbal communication with both internal and external stakeholders Previous knowledge of the bonding business is considered a plus but not strictly required

Qualifications

At least 2 years of experience within the financial services sector Degree in finance, accounting, economics or business Effective written and verbal communication skills Proven analytical ability and a detail‑oriented approach Fluency in both spoken and written English
