Surgical Sales Specialist
Location: Italy, field-based
About the Opportunity An innovative international medical device company is looking for an experienced Surgical Sales Specialist to support its expansion in Southern Europe.
The role will initially focus on building the business in Italy, with the clear intention for the successful candidate to also take on responsibility for Spain as the company grows. This is a highly autonomous opportunity for someone who enjoys developing new markets, working closely with surgeons and having a visible impact on commercial strategy.
Key Responsibilities Build and develop the Italian market from an early stage Grow sales across the assigned territory Build strong relationships with surgeons, operating theatre teams and hospital stakeholders Provide hands-on clinical support during surgical procedures Lead product evaluations, demonstrations and training Identify and convert new business opportunities Support tender and procurement processes Deliver against sales targets and territory objectives Monitor market activity and competitor developments Prepare for future responsibility across Spain as the Southern European business expands
About You Proven experience selling medical devices within the operating room Strong clinical knowledge and confidence supporting live surgical procedures Experience working directly with surgeons and theatre teams Exposure to surgical stapling, energy devices, laparoscopic instruments or related surgical technologies Commercially driven, proactive and able to work independently Comfortable building a market from the ground up Fluent in Italian and English Willingness to travel extensively Spanish language skills would be advantageous
