What Do We Look For?
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience preparing sushi of the finest quality in a high-end, high-volume kitchen
- Excellent knife and food preparation skills
- Attention to detail and a passionate personality
- Able to work creatively in a high-paced atmosphere
- Innovative, creative, and flexible approach to traditional cuisines
What Will You Work On?
- Expertly cut, slice, and fillet a variety of fish with precision and consistency
- Inspect the quality of fish, fruits, and vegetables, and promptly inform the Executive Chef of any sub-standard products
- Prepare a wide range of sushi dishes in line with established standards for quality, portion size, presentation, and food safety
- Maintain a clean and hygienic work environment to ensure food safety and prevent contamination
- Conduct regular inventory checks of ingredients and supplies, ensuring stock levels are maintained
- Report any malfunctions or issues with kitchen equipment to the manager on duty
- Sterilize all utensils, tools, and equipment used in sushi preparation before each use
- Collaborate with wait staff to accommodate special requests and dietary or allergy requirements
