ACBC is a leading sustainability consulting company specializing in the fashion industry. We are looking for a Plastics Chemist to join our sustainability team in Italy and contribute to high-impact projects with clients in the luxury fashion segment.
About the Role:
As a Sustainable Plastics Chemist , you will play a key role in developing and implementing innovative plastic-related solutions that support the sustainable transformation of the fashion industry. You will collaborate with internal teams and luxury fashion clients to address challenges related to plastic materials, circularity, and environmental impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Apply advanced chemical knowledge to create sustainable plastic solutions tailored to the fashion sector.
- Work cross-functionally with internal teams and external stakeholders to solve complex plastic-related challenges.
- Support the development of strategies to reduce the environmental footprint of plastics used in fashion and accessories.
- Engage directly with clients to understand their needs and propose customized, science-based solutions.
- Stay informed on the latest trends, technologies, and regulations related to plastics and sustainability.
What We’re Looking For:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Polymer Chemistry, Materials Science, or a related field.
- At least 3 years of experience in plastics research or application, preferably within the fashion, sporting goods, or related industries.
- Deep understanding of the chemical properties of plastics and their environmental implications.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to translate technical expertise into practical solutions.
- Excellent communication skills in Italian and English; French is a plus.
