EIS Versilia is seeking a Swimming Instructor
Program: Afterschool Activities | Starting: September 2025
Location: Versilia, Tuscany | Part-time position
EIS Versilia is looking for a qualified and enthusiastic Swimming Instructor to lead weekly after school swimming sessions for students aged 6 to 14 . The course aims to promote water safety, technical skills, physical confidence, and a love for swimming in a structured and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
– Teach swimming classes tailored to different age groups and ability levels (beginner to intermediate);
– Promote water confidence, stroke development, breathing techniques, and safety awareness ;
– Use engaging, age-appropriate methods to support both recreational and skill-building goals;
– Ensure safe supervision of all participants and proper use of equipment and pool facilities;
– Collaborate with school staff and families to monitor progress and participation.
Requirements:
– Certified Swimming Instructor qualification and current first aid/lifeguard certification;
– Experience teaching children and adolescents in an aquatic setting;
– Ability to plan and adapt lessons to mixed-ability groups;
– Spoken English or Italian (English B2 minimum, C1 preferred);
– Patience, strong communication skills, and a safety-first approach;
– Availability one or more afternoons per week from September 2025 .
