System Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and translate stakeholder and product requirements into system-level functional specifications
• Contribute to the design of system architecture, defining interactions between refrigeration circuits, hardware components, control logic and software functions
• Support the development of new control strategies, ensuring alignment with thermodynamic behaviour and mechanical constraints
• Participate in system-level testing (MIL/HIL, prototypes), verification activities, failure analysis, FMEA and safety reviews
• Ensure traceability between requirements, models and implemented control logic in a model-based workflow
• Collaborate with Product and Software teams to guarantee system coherence and performance
• Prepare and maintain system documentation, contributing to continuous improvement of software development processes

Education & Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Software Engineering, Energy Engineering, Automation/Mechatronics Engineering or equivalent
• Good command of written and spoken English

Technical Skills

• Understanding of control systems (PID, logic controls, state machines)
• Knowledge of refrigeration systems (HVAC/R), thermodynamics and main components
• Familiarity with systems engineering methodologies and requirements management tools
• Experience in model-based design (preferably MathWorks/Simulink)
• Background in automatic machinery, electronic control systems or complex mechatronic systems
• Ability to read technical drawings and wiring diagrams

Soft Skills

• Strong analytical mindset with a systemic, multidisciplinary approach
• Proactive communication and collaboration across engineering functions
• Solid organizational skills and ability to manage priorities and complex information
• Problem-solving attitude and adaptability
• Availability for occasional travel for testing or technical support
