Offerta
- Design, implement and support documentation for networking and virtual computing infrastructures according to project requirements.
- Build, deploy, and manage all open-source server management platform for enterprise virtualization in accordance with standards and operational requirements, including configuration of hardware, services, storage and container systems.
- Work closely with the Product Software Development, Technical Office and R&D teams to design and deploy systems in line with the specific project requirements and IT strategy.
- Follow Change Management processes and be responsible for common infrastructure changes (Networking, VPNs, Firewalls, etc.), including the planning and implementation of updates.
- Collaborate with other teams to ensure appropriate monitoring controls are in place, identify requirements and issues, and propose proactive solutions.
- Oversee and design monitoring systems, including Zabbix and Influxdb, to obtain insights and proactively resolve problems before service disruption.
- Investigate and troubleshoot system and software configuration and related performance issues.
- Automate the provisioning and maintenance of internal IT personal assets.
- Research and recommend innovative and, where possible, automated approaches for system administration tasks.
- Perform complete life cycle management of compute hardware, including deployment, configuration, refresh and decommissioning.
- Provide engineering support for compute infrastructure; this will include monitoring and troubleshooting compute-related problems.
- Extensively partner with business groups and vendors to consult on technical solutions which move the business forward.
Competenze ed esperienza
- Experience in managing Linux operating systems.
- Practical experience with setup, configuration, operation and management of virtualized infrastructures, including VMs and hypervisor technologies (Proxmox, OpenStack, etc.) and container systems (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
- Good experience with network and services configuration (e.g. VLAN, DNS, routing, firewall) and in-depth knowledge of networking principles.
- Good knowledge of PC and Dell server hardware (e.g. Idrac, etc.).
- Root analysis methodology and problem-solving approach.
- Ability to move independently in the implementation of installation packages/scripts.
