About the Team
The Systems Engineering team at Nutanix is a dynamic and collaborative group dedicated to driving customer success across Southern Italy. With a strong emphasis on inclusivity and teamwork, the team is committed to providing innovative infrastructure solutions that empower businesses to thrive in a rapidly evolving technological landscape. The team's mission revolves around building strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs, and delivering tailored solutions that enhance operational efficiency and business growth.
You will report to the Senior Manager of Systems Engineering, who fosters a supportive and open leadership style that encourages team members to develop their skills and take ownership of their work. The manager values a positive and collaborative work environment, where team members feel empowered to share ideas and contribute to team success. The role is primarily based in Rome, with an expectation for the new hire to work in the office to strengthen team cohesion while also allowing for a flexible hybrid work model.
The role requires travel primarily within Southern Italy, with an expectation of approximately two days of travel per week. Travel will mainly be by car or train, with occasional flights for destinations such as Sicily, enabling the candidate to engage with clients and prospects effectively as part of their commercial sales responsibilities.
Your Role
- Engage with various market segments to adapt communication and support sales representatives in technical discussions.
- Conduct travel primarily within Southern Italy to meet clients and maintain customer relationships.
- Develop and maintain a network of contacts with technical and operational stakeholders in target companies.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify new business opportunities and manage existing accounts.
- Continuously learn about infrastructure technology and market dynamics to effectively address customer needs.
- Become independent in the role within six months while supporting the sales team effectively.
- Expand the company's network by bringing in new contacts and enhancing coverage in Southern Italy.
- Participate in team meetings to share insights and strategies for optimizing sales performance.
What You Will Bring
- 3 to 5 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role with experience as a Presales Engineer
- Strong foundation in infrastructure technology and technical knowledge.
- Sales capabilities and experience in account management and presales activities.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage diverse market segments.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies, including Kubernetes.
- Proven ability to travel for work and manage client relationships effectively.
- Ability to collaborate within a team while adapting to a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in English; additional languages are a plus.
Work Arrangement
Remote: This position is primarily remote. There is no specific in-office requirement, however, there may be circumstances where you may be required to come into a local office for a specific purpose, and/or to travel to other locations based on business needs.
