Tax & Accounting Expert

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure tax compliance with Italian laws and correct tax accounting (VAT application, CIT provisions, IMU calculation, other indirect taxes application, etc.)
• Prepare tax filings (VAT, CIT, etc.) and payments/compensations, in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Work on the preparation of tax provisions, accruals, and reconciliations for financial statement reporting.
• Ensure the quality, completeness, and timing of activities related to monthly financial closing.
• Assist in the calculation and documentation of uncertain tax positions and other tax-related reserves.
• Prepare tax-related disclosures and footnotes for financial statements in accordance with accounting standards.
• Monitor changes in fiscal regulations, laws, and accounting standards to ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
• Assist in responding to inquiries and requests from tax authorities and regulatory agencies.
• Assist in tax incentives applications and reporting.
• Assist in Statutory Financial Statements and audit processes.

Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Strong understanding of tax laws and regulations, accounting processes, financial statements.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in tax compliance.
• Proficiency in tax preparation software, ERPs, and financial accounting systems.
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and experience with Oracle NetSuite are a plus.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and compliance.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Proficiency in Italian and English.
