Tech Co-Founder / CTO (Equity) – SaaS Startup | Remote Italy | 15-20 h/week

Impegno iniziale part‑time 15‑20 h/settimana, full‑remote da qualunque città italiana, con passaggio a full‑time retribuito dopo il round pre‑seed (target Q3‑Q4 2025). Lavorerai fianco a fianco con i founder per portare Breakice dalla beta al lancio pubblico.

Siamo a poche settimane dalla beta (luglio) e puntiamo al lancio pubblico a settembre. Per completare il team ci serve una mente tecnica appassionata tanto del codice quanto della missione sociale di Breakice.

Beakice è una piattaforma di social discovery rivolta a expat, studenti internazionali e persone che si sono trasferite di recente. Grazie ad un algoritmo proprietario, mettiamo in contatto queste persone con la gente del posto per fare attività offline in piccoli gruppi, quali:

• Colazioni internazionali
• Cene in famiglia
• Serate di giochi
• Gite di gruppo

Partiamo da Milano con l’obiettivo di ridisegnare l’integrazione nelle città europee.

• Frontend: esperienza solida con React Native + Expo.
• Backend: padronanza di AWS, TypeScript e DB vettoriali (Pinecone); conoscenza AWS Lambda è un plus.

We're a few weeks away from releasing our beta, with a public launch scheduled for September. We’re looking to complete our team with a tech mind passionate about coding and Breakice’s social mission.

Breakice is a social discovery platform designed for expats, international students, and newcomers. Our proprietary algorithm pairs people for offline activities in small groups, fostering genuine, lasting relationships. Some activities we offer:

We aim to revolutionise how people integrate into new cities, starting from Milan and expanding across Europe.

️ Tech stack

The front-end is developed as a React Native application using Expo, providing a seamless cross-platform user experience. The back-end is built on AWS infrastructure, with APIs implemented in TypeScript and deployed via AWS Lambda. User data is managed through Pinecone, a vector database optimized for semantic search and user matching.

Roadmap : beta release in July → public launch in September → rapid scaling

What you’ll do

• Solidify backend & mobile for the beta, ensuring performance and code quality.
• Advance the matching algorithm with AI/vector tech.
• Design infrastructure to scale beyond the first cities.
• Shape a remote‑first dev culture: CI/CD, code reviews, observability.

Who we’re looking for

We're looking for a versatile full-stack developer who understands architectural solutions and can confidently work across both frontend and backend.

• Frontend : Strong experience with React Native and Expo for mobile app development.
• Backend : Proficiency with AWS services and products, TypeScript, and vector-based databases like Pinecone. Familiarity with AWS Lambda is a strong plus.

A problem solver who values scalable, maintainable architecture and enjoys working in a remote-first, collaborative environment.
