Experteer Overview

In this role you support the Technical Producer and Technical Manager to deliver live, recorded and hybrid productions from the Milan newsroom. You drive technical readiness, design workflows, and coordinate vendors to ensure on-air continuity in a fast-paced editorial environment. You deputise for the Technical Producer during absences, providing leadership and a single point of reference for editorial and production teams. You contribute to local Italian productions with potential cross-market involvement, shaping robust, cost‑conscious technical solutions.

  • Develop and optimise production workflows including REMI, bonded cellular and hybrid setups with prosumer devices
  • Document SOPs, checklists and redundancy plans to prevent on-air failures
  • Coordinate with rental houses, facilities, OBvan operators and suppliers across Italy
  • Lead technical breakdowns, site surveys, equipment planning, testing and rehearsals; provide live technical support
  • Perform pre-show QA on audio/video and address defects to protect broadcast quality
  • Deputise for Technical Producer, managing supplier escalations and editorial‑technical liaison
  • Bridge editorial teams and the technical supply chain, translating ideas into feasible requirements
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, post‑event reports and knowledge sharing for continuous improvement
  • Mentor and onboard freelance and junior staff to align with DAZN standards

Responsabilità

  • Solid broadcast engineering background (video/audio signal flows, SDI/IP, vision mixers, audio consoles, intercoms, replay/graphics, MCR routing)
  • Hands‑on live experience in studios, control rooms/galleries and OBvan operations
  • Experience with REMI, cloud production tools and contribution/distribution tech (bonded cellular, IP, fibre)
  • Hybrid productions combining broadcast and consumer devices (smartphones, mirrorless, action cams)
  • Strong IT literacy (computer systems, networking, software‑based production tools)
  • Excellent ear for audio anomalies and eye for video defects (colour, exposure, sync, artefacts)
  • Detail‑oriented with ability to study device documentation and learn new equipment
  • Excellent communication: translating technical concepts for non‑technical stakeholders
  • Calm under pressure with structured problem‑solving and ownership of issues
  • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills in live environments
  • Curiosity and continuous‑learning mindset
  • Ability to coordinate internal teams and external suppliers without direct line management
  • Trusted to deputise for the Technical Producer during absences
