WordLift is hiring a Technical Customer Success Manager (AI & SEO) to own the delivery of complex AI-powered SEO projects for global enterprise clients, while driving retention and commercial growth across a portfolio of strategic accounts.
WordLift works with Fortune 500 companies and global brands to improve how content is found and understood online. We combine AI and semantic technologies to improve digital performance.
This role is for someone who can manage and deliver complex technical projects involving AI-powered SEO for our clients, ensuring they receive world-class service – while also serving as a senior partner to leadership on the operational transformation of our Customer Success model, bringing structured execution and automation to how our team works.
What You\'ll Do
As a Technical Customer Success Manager (AI & SEO), you will: Own project delivery end to end – Manage complex technical projects from kickoff to completion for enterprise clients. Define scope, timelines, and success criteria. Translate requirements into clear execution plans and keep delivery on track across technical and content teams. Be the AI SEO authority in the room – Conduct and oversee technical SEO & GEO audits, on-site analysis, structured data implementation, and entity optimization. Advise clients confidently on AI-powered search strategies. Deliver structured data and knowledge graph projects – Work hands-on with WordLift\'s AI infrastructure to configure, validate, and improve how client content is represented in knowledge graphs and consumed by search engines and LLMs. Shift clients from execution to self-sufficiency – Evolve client relationships from done-for-you delivery toward strategic advisory. Help clients become capable, independent users of WordLift\'s AI infrastructure while maintaining strong retention and account health. Identify and surface commercial opportunities – Spot upsell and cross-sell opportunities as a natural outcome of deep account knowledge. Partner with Sales to convert those signals into revenue without compromising client trust. Embed AI and automation in how you work – Actively use LLMs and automation platforms (such as n8n) to remove busywork from project delivery. Share those tools and practices across the team. Be a genuine AI practitioner, not just an advocate. Operationalize account health – Work with leadership to implement CRM-based health signals: platform usage, content performance, and revenue retention indicators. Own the quality of that data for your portfolio. Report on outcomes, not activity – Configure and present ROI, ROAS, and organic performance metrics that demonstrate the business value of WordLift\'s AI infrastructure to client stakeholders. Stay ahead of the field – Follow the evolution of AI-powered search, entity-based SEO, and LLM-influenced discovery with genuine curiosity. Bring that knowledge back into client strategy and internal practice. What You Can Expect Credibility with the clients that matter – Work directly with enterprise and Fortune 500 accounts where your SEO expertise is expected, tested, and valued. A front-row seat on AI-powered search – Join a team that is genuinely building the future of AI-driven SEO, not simply reselling it. Autonomy to deliver and to build – Bring your automation and AI ideas to life inside a team that actively wants to work smarter. Clear outcomes, not activity metrics – We care about results. You will know exactly what success looks like. International environment – Join a diverse, distributed team with open communication and global client exposure. About You 5+ years of hands-on SEO/tech/digital experience: technical audits, structured data (Schema.org), entity optimization, and organic performance analysis. You do not need a brief to know what to look for in a crawl report. Informed about AI and search: you have followed the evolution of knowledge graphs, entity-based SEO, and LLM-influenced search results and have formed real views about what they mean for content strategy. 3+ years managing digital or technical client projects: you know how to scope, plan, and run complex work across cross-functional teams. B2B Customer Success background: you have owned client relationships, understand what healthy account management looks like, and know how to maintain it over multi-year engagements. Commercially aware: you understand recurring revenue mechanics and are comfortable discussing retention, expansion, and ROI with senior client stakeholders — without it feeling like a sales pitch. True AI adopter: you use LLMs and automation tools in your daily work to do more with less, and you enjoy teaching others how to work smarter. This is not optional. Clear communicator: fluent in English, able to explain technical SEO to a non-technical CMO and business priorities to a developer. Italian or other languages are a plus. Analytically confident: comfortable reading GA4 dashboards, interpreting crawl data, and working with CRM workflows. You do not need to be a data engineer, but you must be numerate. About Your Future Manager You will report to Beatrice Gamba, Head of Semantic Search & Customer Success at WordLift. Beatrice works at the intersection of AI, content and digital strategy. She has led projects that improved how large organisations manage and understand digital content. She focuses on practical innovation and structured execution of new ideas. Beatrice is looking for a senior partner to support her on the operational transformation of the team, bringing structured execution and automation to our Customer Success model. Perks & Benefits Flexible remote or hybrid work (Rome-based office available) Competitive salary commensurate with experience Continuous learning in AI, semantic search, and digital innovation Direct exposure to Fortune 500 clients and international projects A small, focused team where your work has visible impact Team events and networking opportunities Our Hiring Process Interview with your future manager Practical task covering SEO analysis, project planning, or both Final interview to discuss role, expectations, and how success is measured
