Profile:
We are looking for a Technical Lead Engineer to support all engineering activities related to our Grid Automation Scope of Medium and High Voltage Substations including testing and commissioning activities.
You will drive excellence by ensuring that engineering, testing and commissioning activities are efficiently and cost-effectively executed in accordance with customer expectations, contract specifications, company policies, quality standards and safety requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Act as a technical lead and design authority for engineering deliverables across all applicable engineering disciplines; Coordinate all technical activities during the complete project cycle - including testing and commissioning.
- Work closely with customers to shape and deliver solutions and utilizing feedback to drive the delivery of innovative improvements and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction; Work closely with colleagues and engineers across various disciplines, sharing technical knowledge and best practices cross border within the HUB Europe Region.
- Support the Project Manager in costings to submit estimations; issuing claims related to changes in project scope; assessing cost and time impacts as well as risk implications.
- Prepare base design of substation automation systems, control and protection. Verify the implemented base design within the detailed design.
- Take over aspects of the detail design engineering, testing or commissioning activities in relation to the project needs.
- Resolve complex technical issues both remotely and whilst in person at domestic and international customer sites.
- Provide technical details, financial information and deliverables for sales proposals.
- Ensure the project follows and complies with company health, safety, and environmental policies.
Ideal Background:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical/Electronic/Automation Engineering (or similar).
- >5 years work experience in substation automation projects.
- Knowledge of Control and Protection relays and solutions for High and Medium Voltage Substations; Knowledge of standard and industrial LAN networks; Knowledge of industrial automation and electrical field (PLC, RTU, SCADA).
- Fluency in Italian and good knowledge in English (B2).
- Strong communication skills, proactivity, team working and problem-solving skills.
