We are looking for a Technical Office Architect to be assigned to our project “Tenuta Aliotti” located in Montepulciano, Italy.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Ensure that all activities are carried out in accordance with the Quality Management System
- Monitor and ensure that construction processes are completed on time and in full by contractors
- Prepare daily site reports and manage the review, approval, or rejection of contractor reports
- Inspect on-site works to ensure compliance with project drawings, technical specifications, and latest revisions
- Identify non-conforming works; when necessary, halt activities and ensure corrective actions are implemented
- Perform construction process inspections; review and approve inspection forms
- Effectively supervise and guide contractor activities
- Evaluate material approval processes from both technical and documentation perspectives
- Organize or participate in daily, weekly, and monthly coordination and progress meetings
- Prevent the entry of non-compliant materials to the construction site and ensure their removal when necessary
- Conduct compliance and calibration checks for machinery, equipment, and measurement devices
- Record non-conformities under CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions) and communicate them to relevant stakeholders
- Review and, when required, prepare official minutes and reports issued by the Employer, contractors, and consultants
- Review, assess, and manage approval processes for project and construction drawings
- Regularly take progress photos of construction works and maintain proper documentation
- Ensure full compliance with occupational health and safety regulations on site
- Ensure the preparation and monitoring of contractor work schedules
- Prepare tender packages, collect bids, and perform comparative bid analyses
- Organize contractor selection processes and prepare evaluation reports
- Coordinate the preparation and approval of contracts and contract annexes
- Monitor contractor schedules for compliance with contracts, track delays and penalty-related items, and report accordingly
- Review payment certificates (progress payments) for contractual compliance
- Prepare and manage variation orders and cost analyses
- Prepare budget and cash flow plans, analyze variances, and report regularly
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture
- Minimum 5 years of site experience
- Proficient in MS Office and AutoCAD
- Fluent in English and Italian
- Strong team player with excellent communication and coordination skills
- Strong problem-solving skills; proactive, responsible, and results-oriented
- High level of planning, organization, and control skills
- Preferably experienced in hotel and facility projects
- Able to work actively on-site in Italy
