TECHNICAL PROJECT MANAGER – THERMOPLASTICS

The Technical Project Manager Thermoplastics is the technical and project reference for the Thermoplastics business, acting as a link between the commercial organization, customers, laboratories (R&D, Color Matching, Industrialization, Quality Control), and Regulatory & Quality functions.

The role manages technical requirements and information, translating them into studies, samples, tests, and product solutions, while providing continuous technical and technical‑commercial support to the sales network, distributors, and Business Development. The position contributes to new product development and supports the definition of the technical‑commercial strategy.

Accountabilities:

  • Collecting, analysing, and managing technical information for the development of studies, samples, and product solutions.
  • Translating customer needs into structured requests for laboratories and defining the most suitable technical solutions.
  • Managing sampling activities and customer test follow‑up, coordinating preparation and shipments.
  • Managing complaints in the Thermoplastics sector, including customer communication and preparation of reports (8D).
  • Supporting new product development in collaboration with R&D, Colour Matching, Business Development TP, and Purchasing.
  • Providing technical‑commercial support to customers, sales teams, agents, and distributors, including technical visits and participation in trade fairs and events.
  • Assisting compliance activities and supporting Commercial Management in defining the technical and commercial strategy.

Skills and Experience:

  • Degree or Technical Diploma in Chemistry or in a scientific or technical discipline.
  • Solid technical knowledge of thermoplastics, including materials, processing technologies, and applications.
  • Knowledge of colorimetry, formulation, and production processes in the thermoplastics industry.
  • Experience in a technical role within polymers, additives, or chemical specialties is highly valued.
  • Fluent English; additional languages are considered a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with customers, agents, distributors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Structured, proactive, and problem‑solving mindset, with the ability to make decisions under pressure.
  • Confident user of corporate IT systems and Microsoft Office tools.
