Experteer Overview
In this role you drive growth in the Instrumentation & Process Automation portfolio by delivering technical and commercial support throughout the sales cycle. You work closely with Sales, Product Management, Engineering, and Marketing to ensure portfolio competitiveness and customer satisfaction. You analyze requirements, tailor solutions, and contribute to product strategy and development. This position offers a hybrid work model and the chance to impact sustainability-focused industrial solutions at Siemens. Responsibilities
Analyze RFQs, technical specifications and customer requirements to identify appropriate instrumentation and automation solutions Prepare technical and commercial proposals for process instrumentation (flow, level, pressure, temperature, valve automation) Select, size and configure products according to application needs, ensuring technical accuracy and standards compliance Provide technical consulting and application support to customers and the sales organization throughout the sales cycle Collaborate with customers, headquarters and cross-functional teams to define solutions and resolve technical challenges Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to support portfolio growth and identify opportunities Deliver technical presentations, product training, and marketing support; contribute to portfolio development Support portfolio competitiveness and sustainable business growth through market strategy and product management Qualifications
Knowledge of process instrumentation (flow, level, pressure, temperature; positioners for electro‑pneumatic valves) Bachelor in Engineering (Automation, Electronics, Mechanical, Chemical) 3-5 years’ experience in technical/sales roles, instruments configuration and selection based on requirements Familiarity with main industrial process verticals (Oil & Gas, energy, chemicals, water/wastewater, pharmaceuticals, food & beverage) Proficiency in English and Italian Eligibility to work in Italy Preferred: good process engineering (fluid dynamics, thermodynamics, pressure) Preferred: ability to read P&IDs, datasheets and technical specifications Preferred: ability to define sales strategies and perform market/competitor analysis Preferred: availability for frequent short business trips Benefits
