Experteer Overview
In this role you will design and develop software for ground‑segment monitoring and control of launch vehicles within an ECSS‑compliant framework. You will join an international, multidisciplinary team to deliver robust software and integrate it with hardware, shaping mission‑critical launch systems. You’ll participate in requirements analysis, testing, and documentation to ensure reliable operations. The opportunity combines hands‑on coding with system engineering collaboration in a dynamic space environment.

Responsibilities and Qualifications
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in aerospace, defense, or safety‑critical domains
- Strong expertise in C, C++, and Java (mandatory)
- Knowledge of Rust and Python is a plus
- Experience with architectural patterns: TDD, DDD, EDD, and multi‑technology stacks
- Experience with communication protocols and distributed systems (Ethernet, EtherCAT, MIL‑STD‑1553, TSN, PROFIBUS, MODBUS)
- Experience with microservices architectures
- Knowledge of secure coding standards (OWASP, CWE/SANS)
- Unix/Linux environment skills: shell scripting, performance tuning, user/permission management, networking
- Container orchestration: OpenShift/Kubernetes administration; Docker/Podman; Ansible; CI/CD
- Linux networking troubleshooting and monitoring (Prometheus/Grafana/EFK); RBAC and security
- Familiarity with hardware virtualization (Type‑1 hypervisors like VMware ESXi)
- Understanding of ECSS/CCSDS/ITU aerospace standards; Atlassian lifecycle tools
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills
- Business travel willingness (EU and worldwide)
