Test Manager

As a hands-on Test Manager, you lead testing for Digital & Transaction Processing in Merchant Acquisition and Payment projects. You guide a distributed QA team, influence senior stakeholders, and drive test strategy across multiple programs. You’ll work with cross-functional partners to ensure quality and timely delivery in a complex payments ecosystem. This role offers impact at scale within a global fintech environment, shaping testing practices and project outcomes. Plan, deploy and oversee testing across multiple projects/programs Coordinate testing activities with project leads and cross-application teams Define and communicate test scope to certify business capabilities Develop and execute the overall test strategy and QA processes Mentor a distributed team of permanent and supplier testers Support multiple Scrum teams with estimation, planning and testing strategies Own QA phases: test planning, design, execution and closure Ensure adherence to QA best practices within QEA GBS Coordinate defect triage and maintain test packs (regression, smoke) Manage test environments and data quality across the estate Contribute to metrics collection and reporting for QEA GBS programs Ensure change management for testing scope changes and monitor budget and spend Collaborate with Project/Program Manager on risk and issue mitigation Enforce Quality Stage Gates and validate acceptance criteria 15-18 years of experience in testing/QA Domain expertise in Cards and Payments incl. Merchant Acquiring Fluent in Italian and English Knowledge of structured testing methods and delivery (waterfall and agile) Experience in both manual and automated testing, with automation framework definition Ability to manage all testing stages (SIT, NFT, UAT) and navigate project chaos Strong stakeholder management and reporting skills Experience with test environments, data quality, and risk mitigation Budget and metrics-driven project delivery As a hands-on Test Manager, you lead testing for Digital & Transaction Processing in Merchant Acquisition and Payment projects.
