Role Description

This is an on‑site, contract role for a Tour Coordinator based in Lucca. The Tour Coordinator will manage and schedule guided tours, coordinating between travelers and local hosts to ensure smooth, personalized experiences. Daily responsibilities include responding to traveler inquiries, confirming bookings, handling last‑minute changes, and providing clear information about meeting points, tour details, and local logistics. The role also involves supporting local guides, monitoring tour quality, gathering feedback, and identifying opportunities to improve the overall experience. The Tour Coordinator may assist with local outreach, basic sales follow‑ups, and event‑style arrangements during peak travel periods.

Qualifications

  • Experience with guided tours and local experiences, including coordinating itineraries and supporting on‑ground operations.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills, with the ability to respond promptly, clearly, and professionally to diverse travelers and local hosts.
  • Background in event management or similar coordination roles, including organizing schedules, managing logistics, and handling last‑minute changes.
  • Basic sales abilities, such as explaining offerings, encouraging bookings, and following up on inquiries in a customer‑centric way.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of Italian and other languages is highly beneficial.
  • Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tours and requests at once.
  • Comfort working on‑site in Lucca, with good local area knowledge or willingness to learn quickly.
  • Prior experience in tourism, hospitality, or travel services is an asset.
