Train Cost Engineer (Hybrid)

Specialista Senior / Project Manager As a Train Cost Engineer, you will drive design-to-cost activities across tender and project phases, setting priorities and guiding development teams toward cost objectives. You’ll coordinate DtC resources to deliver expertise for tenders and projects, acting as the DtC voice within the team and steering committees. You will transform identified opportunities into validated savings and ensure DtC deliverables align with the DFQ cycle. This role sits at the crossroads of engineering, costing and project delivery, shaping cost-effective train systems for global mobility. Agree the Design to Cost roadmap with the core team and budget and report on progress Coordinate DtC studies and relevant métiers to meet objectives Transform opportunities into validated cost reductions vs baseline Serve as the DtC voice in Tender/Project teams and organize regular steering committees Animate DtC using DtC tools and methodologies Define and agree recurring Train Cost per Unit targets Coordinate costing resources and expertise Highlight main cost stakes and propose priorities to stakeholders Ensure DtC deliverables are produced according to the DFQ cycle and Roadmap Organize creative sessions to translate DtC potentials into validated savings Establish synthesis reports and monitor DtC KPIs and Cost by Unit evolution at Train & Sub-System level Organize DtC Steering Committees to secure go/no-go decisions Limit scope to recurring production costs (material + assembly hours) with NRC considerations in business cases As a Train Cost Engineer, you will drive design-to-cost activities across tender and project phases, setting priorities and guiding developm…
