Our client, a leading global company in its field, is looking for a Treasury Director – Financial Services .

Reports To: Group Treasurer / President of Financial Services.


Position Purpose

The Treasurer for the Financial Services (FS) unit is a high-impact leadership role responsible for the financial stability and funding efficiency of Group’s captive finance operations. This role serves as the primary architect of the unit’s capital structure, ensuring that the division has the liquidity and diversified funding base necessary to support the sale of commercial vehicles, buses, and powertrain technology.

The Treasurer will balance technical execution with strategic risk oversight, acting as the key liaison between the Financial Services division and the Group Central Treasury to ensure seamless alignment of corporate and divisional financial goals.


Key Responsibilities

Funding Execution

  • Diversified Funding Strategy: Develop and implement a multi-channel funding strategy including bank loans, committed credit lines, and factoring programs.
  • Securitization (ABS): Lead the end-to-end execution of Asset-Backed Securities (ABS) programs, from portfolio selection and structuring.
  • Capital Markets: Set up debt capital markets (Bonds/CP) to optimize the cost of funds and extend maturity profiles.
  • Banking & Rating Agencies Relations: Manage and expand relationships with a global pool of banking partners, financial institutions and Rating Agencies for potential future rating assignment.


ALM & Risk Management

  • Liquidity Risk: Ensure robust liquidity buffers and contingency funding plans are in place to support the FS portfolio under various stress scenarios.
  • Interest Rate Risk Management: Drive the Asset-Liability Management (ALM) strategy to mitigate interest rate mismatches and protect the Net Interest Margin (NIM).
  • Governance: Establish and chair ALM committee meetings, defining risk appetites and monitoring compliance with internal and regulatory limits.
  • Hedging: Oversee the execution of derivative strategies to manage financial exposures.


Corporate Finance & Central Coordination

  • Strategic Projects: Lead corporate finance initiatives such as capital injections, legal entity restructuring, or new market entries in close partnership with Central Treasury.
  • Intercompany Financing: Coordinate with the Group’s central pool for efficient cash management and intercompany lending arrangements.
  • Policy Integration: Ensure FS treasury operations strictly adhere to Group’s global financial policies, compliance frameworks, and IFRS standards.


Executive Communication & Stakeholder Management

  • Senior Management Reporting: Deliver clear, high-level financial intelligence and risk assessments to the FS Division leadership and the Corporate Executive Committee.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a strategic partner to the Sales and Risk departments to provide competitive financing solutions for customers and dealers.
  • External Ripresentazione: Serve as a key spokesperson for the FS unit with credit rating agencies and debt investors.


Candidate Profile

  • Education: Advanced degree (Master’s or MBA) in Finance, Economics, or a related field. Professional certification (CFA, CTP, or similar) is highly desirable.
  • Experience: 10+ years of progressive experience in Treasury, ideally within a Captive Finance or banking environment. Specific expertise in ABS/Securitization and ALM is mandatory.
  • Technical Excellence: Deep knowledge of financial markets, debt instruments, and risk management modeling. Familiarity with IFRS 9 and hedge accounting.
  • Leadership: Strong track record of managing high-stakes projects and influencing stakeholders in a matrixed, multinational organization.
  • Communication: Exceptional command of English (written and verbal); ability to translate complex financial data into executive-level narratives. Proficiency in Italian or other European languages is a plus.


Salary package: euro 95.000 / 115.000 + MBO + benefit
