For the Global Marketing team of a client company, we are currently searching for a Trends Manager.

THE ROLE

We are looking for a Trends Manager to bring cultural relevance and forward-thinking insights into the company and translate it into clear business and product direction. Your core mission will be to help us create the most outstanding experiences people love and want.

This is not a traditional insights role. You are deeply plugged into social platforms, emerging subcultures, lifestyle shifts, and what’s “cool” (and what’s not). You understand how trends start, spread, and evolve—and how they translate into customer behavior and preferences. You see clearly how to use those trends to enrich our offer and take it to the next level.

Your mission is to turn this understanding into actionable directions for product innovation, communication and go to market strategies.

You will work closely with strategy and product teams to create products from the trends, include them in our offer and bring them to market.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Cultural & social trend intelligence

  • Continuously monitor social media platforms (TikTok, Instagram, YouTube, emerging channels) and digital ecosystems
  • Identify earlysignals, viral patterns, and emerging culturaland lifestyle trends
  • Track niche communities, subcultures, and evolving definitions of consumer goods, leisure, wellness, travel, and experiences
  • Develop a strong point of view on what is gaining relevance—and what is losing it

Customer & behavioral insight

  • Translate trends into deep understanding of customer motivations, needs, and behaviors
  • Identify how trends influencedecision-making, expectations, and purchase drivers
  • Combine qualitative cultural insight with data and performance signals
  • Build a clear view of evolving customersegments and mindsets

From trends tobusiness direction

  • Translate trends into clear, actionable recommendations for product, offer, and marketing
  • Define innovation directions based on emerging behaviors and unmet needs
  • Identify white spaces and new opportunities for the company
  • Ensure trends actively influence decision-making—not just inspire it

Product, marketing & go-to-market influence

  • Work closely with strategy, product, and partnerships teams to shape innovation pipelines
  • Collaborate with communication teams to translate trends into go-to-market strategies and executions
  • Support content and brand teams with culturally relevant directions
  • Ensure trends are visible and applied in campaigns, content, and market executions

Knowledge sharing & activation

  • Create clear,inspiring, and actionable trend outputs (reports,frameworks, playbooks)
  • Educate teams on social trends,cultural shifts, and customer evolution
  • Build a culture of curiosityand external awarenessacross HQ and local teams

Skills &Experience

  • 5–6+ years of experiencein trends, insights,strategy, or innovation roles
  • Deep understanding of social media platforms, digital culture, and content ecosystems
  • Strong awareness of lifestyle trends, subcultures, and emerging consumer behaviors
  • Proven ability to translate trends into product, marketing, or business recommendations
  • Strong storytelling and synthesis skills (from messy signals to clear direction)
  • Experience in consumer brands, retail, lifestyle, travel is a plus
  • Culturally curious and always “plugged in”
  • Strong instinct for what resonates vs. what doesn’t
  • Action-oriented and business-minded
  • Comfortable influencing across teams without direct ownership
