Innovation, continuous research, digital industry, and sustainability are the pillars of its global business.Within the Aeronautics Division, in the Aircraft B.U., within the **Avionics Systems** unit, we are looking for an **Avionic System Navigation Engineer** at the Turin office.The resource will be able to contribute to the development, integration, and qualification activities of avionic systems for fixed-wing aircraft and ground support/integration systems. Avionic Systems include Basic Systems (e.G., Display, Communication, Navigation), Weapon Control Systems, Mission Systems, and Self-Protection/Defense Systems, embedded training systems, as well as ground support systems.The **Avionic System Navigation Engineer**, based on their skills, may be involved in one of the following areas:System EngineerThe resource will mainly deal with:* Definition, design, integration, qualification, and support for certification and operation of avionic systems* Development of functional, interface, and HW/SW requirements for avionic systems - in line with operational effectiveness and aircraft safety requirements and Airworthiness* System design and modeling* Definition of test requirements for avionic system tests* Evaluation of test results, both in the laboratory and on the aircraft (Ground and Flight tests) and identification of any operational limitations or corrective actions.* System problem investigation* Support for Safety and Security analyses* Issuance of Mean of Evidence in support of Aircraft Certification**EDUCATION:** Master's degree in Aerospace or Electronic Engineering**SKILLS:*** Knowledge of project engineering aspects* Knowledge of SysML and UML methodologies* Knowledge of C, C++ programming languages* Knowledge of Mathworks tools (MATLAB, Simulink, Stateflow, System Composer)* Knowledge of main avionic systems with particular reference to safety-critical systems* **Knowledge of Position, Navigation and Timing systems and Flight Management Systems in military avionics*** Knowledge of main applicable design and certification standards (RTCA, MIL, FAA, EASA)* Knowledge of main avionic communication protocols (ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, Ethernet, AFDX)* Knowledge of Model Based Design (MBD) and Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) principles.* Knowledge of Agile methodology* Availability for foreign experience for at least 3/5 years**HARD SKILLS*** Ability to use industry tools DOORS, CAMEO* Ability to define requirements for avionic equipment or systems through modeling* Ability to define Functional and Equipment Specifications.**SOFT SKILLS*** Ability to work in a team* Ability to interact with different cultures* Communication and relationship skills with customers and suppliers* Organizational and coordination skills* Planning skills* Problem solving and results orientation* Curiosity and aptitude for learning* Public speaking and meeting conduction skillsLanguage skills: Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English.
