Role Summary

The Museum Manager – Museum of Senses Milano is responsible for the overall operational performance of the Milan location.

The role oversees daily operations, team leadership, visitor experience, and commercial performance, ensuring alignment with group standards and supporting the museum’s continued growth.

The position reports to the Group Commercial Director and Museum of Senses HQ.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations Management

  • Oversee daily museum operations and visitor flow
  • Ensure compliance with operational procedures and service standards
  • Coordinate suppliers, facility services, and maintenance partners
  • Guarantee safety, cleanliness, and functionality of installations
  • Support operational efficiency and cost awareness
  • Collaborate with Museum Managers across all locations

2. Visitor Experience

  • Ensure a high‑quality, engaging, and consistent visitor experience
  • Supervise visitor interaction and satisfaction levels
  • Support training in storytelling and visitor engagement
  • Monitor feedback, surveys, and online reviews
  • Implement improvements to enhance the visitor journey
  • Lead and coordinate the museum team (admin, sales, guides)
  • Manage staff scheduling and ensure adequate coverage
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and development activities
  • Promote a positive, visitor‑focused team culture
  • Coach the team to achieve defined KPI

4. Commercial & Performance Support

  • Monitor visitor numbers and ticket sales
  • Oversee group visits, school programs, and special events
  • Support marketing and promotional initiatives coordinated by HQ
  • Monitor retail/shop performance
  • Identify opportunities to increase revenue per visitor (upselling, add‑ons, activities)

5. Reporting & KPI Monitoring

  • Track daily visitor numbers and revenue
  • Support weekly and monthly reporting to HQ
  • Monitor key performance indicators (visitor satisfaction, productivity, sales)
  • Report operational issues and improvement opportunities to the Group Commercial Director

Candidate Profile

We are seeking a responsible, proactive, and service‑oriented professional with strong operational and people‑management skills.

The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic, visitor‑focused environments and is motivated to contribute to the growth of an international edutainment brand.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in hospitality, tourism, entertainment venues, retail, restaurant industry or visitor attractions
  • Proven experience managing teams in customer‑facing environments
  • Strong operational and organizational capabilities
  • Excellent communication and problem‑solving skills
  • Analytical mindset with ability to monitor performance metrics
  • High level of responsibility and reliability (Availability to work MON‑SUN and on holidays)
  • Good IT literacy
  • English: high professional proficiency
  • RAL starting from €35.000+ , based on experience
