VP Treasury and Financing - Relocation

Location: Malta

Please note: This role is fully on-site role in Malta (not remote) and the successful candidate will be required to relocate to Malta. This position is open to EU citizens.

About the role

This is a newly established leadership role created following the company’s rapid expansion. Reporting to the CFO, the VP will lead and further develop the Group’s treasury and financing function, defining the framework and strategy across multiple entities and business units, while building and scaling a global treasury team. This is a highly visible role with significant strategic impact.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Group’s treasury function across multiple entities, building and developing the treasury structure, processes, and operating framework
• Lead execution of the Group’s financing activities, including securing and negotiating large-scale funding arrangements, bank facilities, and asset financing solutions
• Act as the primary counterpart to banks and financial institutions, managing relationships and negotiating financing terms and conditions
• Oversee Group liquidity management, cash flow forecasting, and scenario planning to support strategic decision-making
• Oversee the Group’s capital structure, including debt, loans, and third-party funding arrangements, ensuring compliance with covenants and financing terms
• Oversee treasury controls, bank account structures, and reconciliation processes across all Group entities
• Negotiate banking terms and fees to optimize the overall cost of banking and financing across the Group
• Provide strategic treasury reporting, financial analysis, and insights to senior management
• Drive the development of treasury policies, governance frameworks, internal controls, and systems across the Group
• Build, lead, and develop a global treasury team across multiple business units
• Lead cross-functional finance and treasury projects aligned with the Group’s growth strategy

Requirements

• University degree in Accounting, Banking, or Finance, or ACCA qualification; CFA is an advantage
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in a similar senior treasury role with experience in an international environment with responsibility across multiple entities and locations.
• Proven experience raising and securing financing for company assets and operational needs, including negotiating funding facilities with banks and financial institutions.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to maintain high standards under pressure
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; knowledge of Maltese is an advantage
• Proficient in interpreting and communicating technical accounting and treasury matters
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant IT tools
• Highly motivated, strategic thinker with strong commercial acumen, able to operate effectively at senior management level in a fast-paced international environment
• Willingness to travel internationally as required
• Willingness to relocate to Malta
