What the job looks like
Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:
- Overseeing and managing all aspects of warehouse and logistics operations at the site, including inbound, outbound, import/export, and logistics services, ensuring compliance with GDP and GMP regulations.
- Developing and implementing the site's mid-term strategic plan for warehouse and logistics operations, with clear annual targets and actions.
- Leading the warehouse team, supporting personal growth, introducing new onboarding and learning systems, and establishing KPIs through a Warehouse & Distribution Dashboard.
- Aligning Warehouse and Distribution Management with international standards and best practices.
- Assessing, defining, and implementing strategic initiatives to improve processes, systems, and tools, ensuring sustainability.
- Driving operational efficiencies, including service level improvements, cost reduction strategies, Lean, Six Sigma projects, and 5S methodologies.
- Promoting cross-functional collaboration within supply chain and manufacturing, sharing best practices globally, and optimizing intralogistics.
- Supporting outsourcing strategies and software development (eWMS) for performance improvements.
- Ensuring adherence to policies, promoting a safety culture, and participating in audits and training.
What you’ll bring to the table
To excel in this role, you should have:
- A university degree, preferably in industrial engineering, supply chain, or pharmaceutical fields (an MSc or MBA is a plus).
- Green Belt Six Sigma Certification and Supply Chain Certification (e.g., APICS or IBF) are desirable.
- Knowledge of GxP regulations, local laws, and good warehousing practices.
- Extensive experience managing warehouse and logistics operations.
- Fluency in English and Italian.
- Trustworthy leadership skills, ability to motivate teams, and effective communication with stakeholders at local and global levels. Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement, enhancing speed, productivity, and quality.
