What the job looks like

Each day you'll enjoy a variety of challenges, such as:

  • Overseeing and managing all aspects of warehouse and logistics operations at the site, including inbound, outbound, import/export, and logistics services, ensuring compliance with GDP and GMP regulations.
  • Developing and implementing the site's mid-term strategic plan for warehouse and logistics operations, with clear annual targets and actions.
  • Leading the warehouse team, supporting personal growth, introducing new onboarding and learning systems, and establishing KPIs through a Warehouse & Distribution Dashboard.
  • Aligning Warehouse and Distribution Management with international standards and best practices.
  • Assessing, defining, and implementing strategic initiatives to improve processes, systems, and tools, ensuring sustainability.
  • Driving operational efficiencies, including service level improvements, cost reduction strategies, Lean, Six Sigma projects, and 5S methodologies.
  • Promoting cross-functional collaboration within supply chain and manufacturing, sharing best practices globally, and optimizing intralogistics.
  • Supporting outsourcing strategies and software development (eWMS) for performance improvements.
  • Ensuring adherence to policies, promoting a safety culture, and participating in audits and training.

What you’ll bring to the table

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • A university degree, preferably in industrial engineering, supply chain, or pharmaceutical fields (an MSc or MBA is a plus).
  • Green Belt Six Sigma Certification and Supply Chain Certification (e.g., APICS or IBF) are desirable.
  • Knowledge of GxP regulations, local laws, and good warehousing practices.
  • Extensive experience managing warehouse and logistics operations.
  • Fluency in English and Italian.
  • Trustworthy leadership skills, ability to motivate teams, and effective communication with stakeholders at local and global levels. Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement, enhancing speed, productivity, and quality.
