Offer Description
The project aims to develop and integrate mnovative biotechnological and physico-chemical processes for the recovery and valorization of nutrients (nitrogen and phosphoms) and organic and inorganic carbon from wastewater, industrial by-products, and anaerobic digestates. The objective is to transform low-value residual streams into valuable resources for the sustainable production of high-value-added products, contributing to the transition towards a cu'cular economy model. The activitiesmclude the characterization of feedstock matrices, the optmiization of recovery and conversion processes, and the assessment of the enviromnental and economic performance of the developed technologies. The resultmg products may include recovered fertilizers, microbial biomass, biopolymers, bio-based compounds, and other secondary raw materials. For admission to the selection process referred to in Art. 1, potential candidates must fulfil the following requirements: a) Master’s Degree in Biotecnologies [Laurea Magistrale o a ciclo unico awarded pursuant to Art. 3(1n), Ministerial Decree no. 270 of 22/10/04], obtained no more than six years before the expiry date of this call; b) Possession of a curriculum suitable for assisting in carrying out research activities; c) Knowledge of the following foreign language: English.
