At Stellantis , we design and develop complex vehicle architectures that power the next generation of mobility. To support our Wiring System Team within the HDEM South Europe Technical Center, we are looking for a Wiring System / 2D Engineer to contribute to the development and release of vehicle wiring harness solutions.


In this role, you will work at the intersection of electrical engineering, design, suppliers and program management , ensuring high‑quality wiring harness definitions across all vehicle development phases.


Your role & responsibilities

As a Wiring System / 2D Engineer, you will be responsible for the creation, coordination and release of 2D wiring harness designs , ensuring technical correctness, timing and alignment with vehicle program targets.


Your main activities will include:

  • Managing 2D wiring harness design activities in accordance with defined processes and standards
  • Leading and coordinating designers and suppliers assigned to the program, ensuring correct and timely deliverables
  • Performing wire dimensioning based on electrical loads and fuse values, using dedicated tools and standards
  • Collecting and managing platform information (program planning, trim level grids, cost and weight targets)
  • Working closely with Engineering Specialists and Project Chiefs to plan and schedule activities
  • Managing harness diversity and quantities through CODEP / PLM systems
  • Performing and supporting DFMEA activities
  • Supporting vehicle improvements based on virtual and physical test feedback
  • Creating and managing Design Change Requests (FETE) throughout all program phases
  • Supporting industrialization activities and resolving 2D‑related issues in collaboration with DRE teams


Your profile

Technical skills

  • Solid fundamentals in Electrotechnics
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (including formulas)
  • Experience with PLM tools and/or Capital suite (preferred)
  • Experience in the automotive sector , preferably in wiring harness or electrical systems


Soft skills

  • Fluent Italian and English , written and spoken
  • Strong teamwork and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively in multicultural and cross‑functional teams
  • Structured, proactive and problem‑solving mindset


Education

  • Technical degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering (preferred)
  • Technical High School Diploma considered
