Overview

Work Based Learning Program Logistics Specialist in AWS Infrastructure Services. This position supports the 12-month work and training program in our Maryland facilities, with successful candidates reporting to a site location. The program combines work duties with training in logistics within a data center environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Vendor and team communication including data entry, coordinating with suppliers, and resolving inquiries from cross-functional teams
  • Ensure that all billing associated with the Inventory supply chain is accurate, validated and ready for processing
  • Assembling, addressing, stamping and arranging for the shipment of merchandise and materials
  • Assist in daily scheduling of deliveries and pick-ups to and from production locations
  • Keep precise records of all commodities going in and out of the company
  • Travel within the regional work area as required
  • Successfully complete the 12-month Work Based Learning Program training curriculum, including safety certifications, technical competencies, and performance milestones

What Youll Do

  • Review Data Center inventory, in-bound shipments, and ongoing demand to maintain proper stock levels in the assigned data center
  • Collaborate with the Logistics Manager to optimize parts flow, track inventory location, movement, age, and returns
  • Work with Data Center Operations Technicians, Data Center Engineers, Procurement, and Hardware Engineering to fulfill parts, process RMAs, and obtain replacements
  • Maintain regular communications with vendors to resolve issues and convey business requirements
  • Operate in a warehouse or data center environment, adhering to safety standards and working with powered equipment if required
  • Work independently and as part of a team with strong prioritization, organization, and communication skills
  • Support shift work including days/nights and may include weekends/holidays; travel within the regional area with a reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Are 18 years of age or older
  • Willingness to participate in shift rotations to support 24/7 data center operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
  • Knowledge of computer hardware components and operating systems
  • STEM classes or vocational course curriculum education
